Hourvash Pourkian and her comrades-in-arms handed over an open letter with demands for a new German Iran policy to Mrs. Baerbock.
We, with our initiative International Women in Power together with the association Säkularen Islam Hamburg e.V., held a rally on Monday, October 03, 2022 opposite the Blue Mosque, in Hamburg. Iranians and Hamburg residents demonstrate together and demand the suspension of the state treaties and the closure of the mosque of the Islamic Center Hamburg!
There was a lot of media coverage. Here are the articles about the rally:
It seems like history is repeating itself. Salman Rushdie was born a year after the murder of Ahmad Kasaravi (an intellectual) and 36 years later he too was assassinated. Responsible for this assassination is Ayatollah Khomeini's fatwa, which imposed the fatwa on Salman Rushdie in 1989.
Ayatollah Barujerdi's fatwa ordered the murder of Ahmad Kasravi, he survived his failed assassination attempt by Nawab Safavi, but only a few months later he was murdered with a knife by the Imam brothers. (Ahmad Kasravie, pictured left)
We strongly condemn these cowardly attacks.
The attempts at intimidation, which want to ban free thinking and writing, will not succeed.
This assassination is also an attack on our democratic values, freedom of speech and freedom of religion.
Our thoughts are with the friends and family of Salman Rushdie and we wish him a speedy recovery.
